how come this doesn't get much love? it's really fucking good throughout... I guess I sort of ignored it at first cause of the word "remix", but it's a silly reason not to pay attention to an album.. this is no less an original piece than anything else afx has done

The second track from cd 2 is incredible, Deep in Velvet

And most of these songs are remixed to the point where they can be considered original Aphex tracks, and really damn good ones

I really need to buy it, my ex-housemate had it so I always borrowed his copy and just never got round to getting my own...they had it on special offer somewhere recently but I can't bloody think where.....Anyway, I digress.....

I probably love the Philip Glass (obviously - I've yet to find someone who doesn't love this one  ) and Die Fantastichen Vier ones the most.

It really is an amazing release. I hadn't heard of 9/10th of the remixes so the 2Cd album was like a whole load of new AFX thrown at me at once and it was quite overwhelming. I love the Phillip glass/David bowie remix thing of Heros. Simply stunning.

Kiteless' sig seems to fit the Heros' remix quite nicely too with the solid intensity:

I especially like the Journey Remix, and they used it as background music for a deodorant commercial here in the US. It was good and badish.

is it true a lot of this is made from mp3s? if so disappointing and my respect for Warp is at low.

I believe only one track was decidedly mastered from an MP3.. I remember at one point Joyrex claimed that WARP contacted him looking for a vinyl copy of the track in question, but I'm not sure

I've had the album for ages but only really started listening to it last week.

Really digging the remix of that dmx crew track.

26 mixes for cash is an excellent album, which i relate to many good memories. 'let my fish loose' is a particualarly strange but no less excellent track for richard d. james's style.
