Guest mrguy
A few months ago I heard some BoC on myspace, and quite liked it. So I went to twoism and asked which album to get first. I ended up getting TCH. For some reason that I can't remember I never listened to TCH properly. Until now. I have to say, it's a solid album. Perhaps I wasn't "ready" for electronic music at the time. However, my tastes have broadened quite a bit and I listen to most genres of music, from prog and metal, to electronic and hip hop. Anyway, I listened to it and I particularily liked Peacock Tail and especially Slow This Bird Down. I saw Twoism for a hefty discount at a store. Would it be a wise decision to get that next? Caretstik
If it's going really cheap and you're not destitute, why not just try it? IMO, Twoism still sounds great. Can't imagine how you'd be disappointed if you like TCH.
stephen1966
Campfire wasn't the best place to start. Although Twoism (the album, not the forum) is good, i'd by-pass it and go straight for Geogaddi. Stick it on repeat for a few days and say hello to a new audio life. Six months later, you'll know what i'm talking about.
Guest Calx Sherbet
yes, do it. not only is boc the one of the better places to start, but twoism specifically is the best beginners album. and like others have said, you won't be disappointed. it's my favourite boc release so far, at least. every track just spells tranquility and innocence

Twoism the album isn't quite epochal like the debut but most certainly worth having for a high quality version of the opening track, the title track, and the tiny tracks. Oirectine brings down the house.

chassis
This is bullshit. You dont need to start anywhere, all BOC's stuff is great. Geogaddi was my 1st and is still my favourite. But do whatever you want man.

But do whatever you want man. Qft, for the most part; I think the Old tunes volumes wouldn't be that great as a first listen unless you are already into pseudo-boccers (Tycho, Christ.., etc.) or even stuff like VHS head. Started off with Trans Canada Highway, and wow...that was like 4 years ago for me and I still listen to it on the reg.
Guest rumbo
I was introduced to Geogaddi, MHTRTC/Maxima and Hi Scores all at the same time. It was as if almost the entire BoC collection was dropped in my lap and was quite an epiphany for me. I hardly knew which tracks were from which albums and it didn't matter. It was all fucking amazing. I had to seek out Twoism after that. I waited in anticipation for TCH and was not disappointed! BoC are probably the only artists I have ever listened to where almost every track is bliss.
The Green Kingdom
Started with MHTRTC, definitely the quintessential BOC album imo (along with Geogaddi). But yeah, you need Twoism too!
Terpentintollwut
I particularily liked Peacock Tail and especially Slow This Bird Down. Then chances are you will enjoy other releases a lot more as a whole Campfire wasn't the best place to start. I agree, although it was also my first. Next I heard MHTRTC and it was only then that I realized what they are capable of. I find it difficult to fully apreciate TCH for what it is without knowing at least some of BoC's other work.
