i was gonna say - if you think that the LP sounds vastly different from the EP, then you must be slightly delusional or listening to something completely different

oh, good. I haven't checked the previews yet, but I loved the EP.

September 3 that's my birthday oh boy

I already did that. But where did you get September 3rd? On the SKAM site it says it comes out September 6th.

I listened to one sample and was happy some of the cool stuff from Mary Anne Hobbs was on it. Usually I don't listen to samples at all and I won't touch the others.

I love how he makes the 80's feel so sinister and uncomfortable. I think that's where people are picking up on the BOC vibe.

Looking at the titles of this one, Twitch of the Nerve is likely referencing Mario Bava's Twitch of the Death Nerve, Guinea Pig Film must be pointing to the infamous gore series, The Violent Breed is a violent 80's action movie, Brain Damaged =? the absolutely awesome Brain Damage, and then there's The Stuff. That's a quality assortment of sinister B movies

I wonder if he has actually sampled from these films or if these are just points of inspiration. It would seem to obvious to list your sample sources directly like that. Who knows...

After seeing Flower of Flesh and Blood and being traumatized for nearly a year, even the track title "Guinea Pig Film" brings back some horrific memories. I need to some how dissociate the track title with the song itself.

thanks for the headsup, gonna look into some of these

already watched the Guinea pig films.. raw exploitation/torture porn

pre-ordered after listening to the only full length track. its very expensive tho...

i preordered just off the strength of the EP.

and it's not really that expensive...that's about average for a brand new double LP

plus they're giving you VAT at the old rate...should really be 20% not 17.5% (if i heard correctly when the budget hit us)

i suppose. a 2x lp usually comes to about £14 - £16 with postage... still way too much if you ask me, particularly if it's a standard sleeve. can kinda understand if it's gatefold.

curse my record addiction and lack of moneys

What should I get the vinyl or CD, I use to not buy CDs but I am slowly starting to buy more. I like vinyl for the huge artwork and "warm" sound, but they usually get fucked up on the way to America from overseas. Bent corners, warped, ect.

as someone who's spent €115 on one album in the past, i'm one of those people that says "it's worth as much as you'll be willing to pay".

Tax Charges - For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added.

All orders made OUTSIDE the EU are VAT FREE and you should click the EXEMPT BUTTON to reduce VAT to zero .

Isn't it supposed to be the other way round or something? I haven't ordered directly from UK based label to Germany before. What is this VAT shit?

yeah, 15 odd quids is standard, and fair.

anything around 20 and above is a ripoff unless it's gatefold with lush artwork + heavyweight vinyl.

and i don't care how limited it is or if it's hand numbered with a dodgy old biro!

Agreed, noone's putting a gun to your head. I've paid what might seem over the odds for loads of records in the past, but it's how important they are to you (I mean generally, not just you osc) and owning them that's important. And I also agree that the price for this album seems perfectly reasonable, I've found that if there's one music vendor that won't rip you off it's Skam.

'Syn Emergence' is a case in point there.

most definitely. if you're getting it straight from them then they're not gonna charge you any extra for anything, eh. like other places might.

yeah, exactly. fine example. that's a quality package in every respect and well worth the pounds!
