Parkour on a unicycle while in mortal danger from an unseen assailant giving chase, with pynchon-esque digressions into the past and future of the story (character's backstories and what they're doing in present day etc)

Really weird dream last night about an 8 foot tall Oscar Pistorious winning a cross country run. I was standing at the finish line when he was neck and neck with a couple other runners and he and just beat them. He walked over to me to celebrate with the crowd were cheering. he was towering over me in massive blades, very imposing figure, I couldn't figure out what to say to him, everyone was cheering and i'm like ''this guy is a cold blooded killer, why are people cheering''. I said ''You're really tall, man'' and he agreed. Then went off to celebrate with others in the crowd. He was like a returning hero. I couldn't figure what was actually going on and just wanted to wake up which I did briefly and then went back into the dream where I was driving him home with a few people from the crowd in the car (black Renault Clio), he was in a tearful state now, talking about Reeva and the people telling him it wasn't his fault, me driving the car in silence wanting to get him out of the car. Am I the only one who hasn't forgotten about his crime?
I woke up after that and was pretty shaken up. Very vivid dreams when you go into a deep sleep. The point where you get aggravated in the dream seems to be the wake up point. No idea what Pistorious had to do with it other than I had watched a bit of the Olympics + a brief 30 second clip on the afternoon news with him walking around on his stumps. Not something that was praying on my mind when I went to bed. It was actually a nightmare because I was uncomfortable throughout the whole thing. I must have been shaking around in bed.

been haunted by a super vague dream yesterday but i remember the end, i was in a train station and i tought it was a good idea to cut of my dick and roll it with weed in a fat blunt. Then i ripped or cut off my johnson and i could feel the pain, i rolled it into a joint and i could see it losing it's force of life when i held it into the light through the paper. i put the joint in my pocket and leave the station, there are cops everywhere and i'm thinking, it's gonna grow back no problemo, or will it?
then i woke up and grabbed my wang and i swear i could still feel the pain from the beheading
guess one of those glad that shit didn't happen' dreams

I had a vivid nightmare last night that involved being a player in something like a more surreal, muted version of the Crystal Maze, where you had to progress through rooms or stages by answering nonsensical non-sequitur puzzles and traps, and with the chance of violent, painful death reaching almost total certainty beyond the first few stages. kind of like Cube but if it was written by Kafka. I would die and restart again in an infinite loop.

I had this dream the other night that i died but i was still hanging around like a ghost and was saying to my wife things like ' sorry, i didn't mean to do that. shit, now i'm dead and can't help with the kids'. I felt really bad then i woke up and realised i was alive and its fine.

Without getting too into the weeds of details, had a dream last night with a new puppy and a new kitten and caring for them for days/weeks, then at the end of the dream smelling nasty and going to see and only then remember that both new puppy and new kitten were each from a litter and their siblings were shriveled and dead or near death having never been cared for. The specific scene there is all I can remember well, but it's a pretty strong image. If I could sketch anymore I'd try to.

I just had a nap and dreamed of surreal landscapes and goats singing opera...

i had 4 pretty unbelievable micro-dreams tonight to which i called bullshit relatively easily from within my semi-conscious dream state.
in the first dream i was on a vacation at some mountainous resort with my childhood friend. we got in a fight with a couple of dudes and murdered them. my friend fled the area but i was captured by the authorities and was awaiting investigation and trial that would ruin my life for good. then the whole scenario seemed really unbelievable to me as i don't really communicate with that friend anymore and i'm not really a violent person who would murder anyone. so i realized that it was just a bad dream, woke up, and fell asleep again shortly after.
in the second dream i was carefully inspecting the state of my teeth. from the front everything looked decent. but within that dream i could also inspect my teeth from the back as if i my vision was in my own mouth. from the back one of my premolars looked really bad, blackened and all rotten. but within a dream i remembered that i inspected my teeth just recently and saw nothing of the kind so i called bullshit on that dream, woke up, and fell asleep again.
in the third dream a different childhood friend was standing on a table and telling me about some new vegan diet that he's trying out which name starts with an aph-. his t-shirt was tucked into his pants just like his dad was forcing him to do in his early teens in order to look more respectable, and the kids at school would always laugh at him for that. thinking about that friend from within the dream i realized that he would never engage in some vegan diet, he was both very culturally russian and very logical, so that new new agey liberal diet thing is something he would never engage in. so i knew that dream was bullshit too, woke up, and fell asleep once again.
in the last dream i was on a vacation in italy, but the only thing that occupied my mind during the vacation was the question whether italian cafes are vegan friendly and whether i would look like an ignorant idiot asking if they have vegan stuff because i assumed that their culinary culture is very non-vegan. but then within a dream it hit me that irl i don't really have any money for travel to italy so i realized that this dream was bullshit as well and woke up for good.

For the first time in 1700+ nights, DIDN'T have this dream last night:
Imagine the interior of a building where every room or corridor is lined with people. The kind of setting you might experience at a house/squat party, but where none of the other people are obviously recognisable or appear to have conventional faces at all.
Compounding this weirdness is a markedly shadowy lighting atmosphere, always off-key & the only reference points are lighting schemes in certain David Lynch works (eg the scene from Blue Velvet @ Ben's + the gaff Dororthy Vallens lives in). The shadows reek of & seethe with distilled malevolence, but there's an ordinariness to these rooms & corridors too, which adds to the strange mood.
So i'm in this house, building, whateverthefuck, moving from room to room & there's a deepening & rising panic because i'm trying to locate something & to save time i have to repeatedly ask whoever's present the same lines, conversations & questions ad-infinitum (well, approx 1700+ times)....
"Have you seen that thing?"
- "Dunno mate, what thing?"
"You know, that thing. It must be around somewhere, ffs"
- " Dunno mate. Can you describe it?"
"I've no fuckin idea........."
- "......maybe try the next room....."
And on & on & on & on & on......& it never gets resolved. Waking up from it. Trying to add up the obvious symbolism. Going to bed expecting it to be there, waiting, festering. Until last night, when it didn't manifest at all.
Maybe the EMDR is finally working.

If you've had this dream so many times do you recognise that you're in a dream when it's happening?
If not you should really learn to lucid dream and do something else in the dream rather than asking the same questions, could be good for you.

it's about amnesia (ironically my least favourite literary plot-device, just plain lazy) & trying to find answers to events that will forever remain walled off from full disclosure, possibly for the best
even when a head-injury/neuro-psych consultant explained that these memories would never be recoverable due to the nature of concussion & what the brain/mind can default to during a near death experience, it just made the dream cycle even more aggressive
rarely lucidly dream... never "enough" to influence an actual dream mid-state, Jodorowsky's big on it but it seems nigh on impossible to indulge lucid agency in dreams at least to this human, although admit being a tad envious of those who can
