is there any possible way to have msn messenger connected through firefox rather than internet explorer? internet explorer has just been bringing in viruses repeatedly, and i temporarily set it's proxy server to 0.0.0.0 so it wouldn't connect to anything. that stopped the virus flood, but now i can't sign into messenger. so, is there anything i can do? any setting i could maybe change or apply on internet explorer that could fix this? any help is appreciated (as long as it doesn't suck)

I'd be more concerned about this supposed 'virus flood', what the hell have you been running man ?! IE aint known for its security sure but unless you've got some real nasty shite on your machine then simply connecting to MSN shouldn't cause any problems.

Stop using IE and MSN.

Find an IM client that has better features, is more secure, and free.

Be more careful about your browsing habits.
