Joaquin Phoenix - The Movie

Recommended Posts

There was a Rolling Stone article where he was reported to have said “It’s a put-on. I’m going to pretend to have a meltdown and change careers, and Casey is going to film it.” but now it's just a 404 page  Makes me think he asked them to take it off so that this film would have it's desired effect.

Early reports indicate that the film features frontal male nudity, a scene in which a man defecates on another while he sleeps, and other shocking moments and images.

The fact that he was quitting film to make a film said everything the moment this was announced.

Joaquin Phoenix looks a bit like an armpit. Don't think there is any more to be said on the subject.

an interesting thing about all this for me is that it seems to be a hoax seamlessly interwoven with joaquin's real life - his angst and questioning, his unsettled nature - it seems as though he flips

back and forth between reality and the abstraction - it's both - they are both real - at some points he seems to be completely genuine - so deeply emotionally disturbed and at other's obviously

having a laugh. he's always been complex and opinionated for sure. that's so much of what i love about him.

Expect an interesting interview when Joaquin (hopefully clean-shaven) pays another visit to David Letterman's stage on September 22.
