Rhubarb appreciation

I'm just in awe of this song. There's nothing else I've heard that's as beautiful, or evokes so much deep emotion, at least not in such an immediate way. I can just turn it on and straight away it puts my life and problems in perspective. It's so simple and yet so effective that it almost makes a mockery of everything that came before it tbh. Maybe this is going too far but it honestly seems to capture some sort of essence of the human condition for me...

So if RDJ releases nothing but acid techno with wacky twisting bass lines for the rest of his life I couldn't be angry because he's never going to top Rhubarb nor is anyone else.

Anyone feel the same way?

Probably my favorite ambient piece from RDJ.

Wisp's remix is fantastic as well, it really sticks to the beauty of the original.

listening to this track in the middle of a field after a large snow fall wearing headphones was an amazing experience

that fits the track perfectly, I ought to do that once too

it's like the most profound sadness and the most comforting peace and warmth at the same time. if I had to name an all-time favorite track it would be this one.

I quite agree.. this piece really puts my anxiety at a rest, there are a few other tracks that does it as well but this sure is at the very top.

i love the second tone that comes in about 1/3 of the way through and stays for most of the track. it becomes so stark and and dreary, like it's "the end" of something. the end of what, i don't know. a story, a movie, a life, the Earth after life is long gone. i compare the feeling to most of Lovely Thunder by Harold Budd.

I dont understand the Rhubarb hype really. Well its awsome but stone in focus is way better.

i'd say stone in focus is the centerpiece of the album

Oh that... yeah I guess it works in a sort of cheap way... I don't find two young men bonding over a beer, reluctantly acknowledging the beauty of the sunset behind them, stuggling to keep things lighthearted in order to prevent any dreaded mushy sentimentality from breaking out, and basically trying to defend their masculinity at all costs, to be beautiful tbh. It feels fucking awkward to me.
