was tempted to say a photek remix because of the sample from the seven samurai, the bassline and how the tighten up is edited. then the samples came in, they don't really have that photek vibe to me.

hmm...

I don't think it's Meat Beat Manifesto, Brandi.

I wouldn't think so from the music, as it's way too simple and there's not a million other things going on. But the way the samples are handled sounds just like ol' Jack (to me). But yeah, I don't think so either.

It wasn't easy. I heard it on a local radio and couldn't stop thinking about it. I definitely heard it before, i probably even have it somewhere. I asked a friend that works at that radio station and he asked people that were in charge of music selection that day. It turned out the sound engineer put on a random track between two shows and he doesn't remember what it was either. Then that friend managed to pull the recording from the radio archive, so at least i have it now.

It's a sick tune, when i heard it, it really made me think about what dnb was all about back in the day.

Yeah, actually, when i heard the track on the radio, i thought "cool, i haven't listened to plug for years". But then i came home and figured out it just can't be plug. Too straight beat - plug got teh idmz :)
