The British Monarchy

So as you all, hopefully, know: Prince William and Kate Middleclass, I mean Middleton, are set to be married somewhere around Spring/Summer of next year. Now, the question is: Once the lovely Queen kicks the bucket, will Charles take over as King or will that duty be passed down to young Bill?

My thoughts are, that, Charlie boy has been waiting all his life to be king and I don't think he gives a shit if he is almost as old as his mother and so he will become the next head of the monarchy despite being so old and senile.

I'm curious to hear all of your thoughts on this matter; having immigrated to Montreal, people here have different attitudes towards the monarchy: mainly French people wish them to be guillotined because they supposedly steal our money through our taxes... anyways,

comments? where will the British Monarchy be in say 20 years?

old fashioned, irrelevant, waste of time and money. off with their heads.

coincidentally, the girl i work with was just banging on about how nice it was that will and kate were finally getting hitched. for some reason she was shocked when i told her i couldn't care less.

She's no Princess Diana mind you - Obel, you bloody Socialist

I dont think Diana was all that, it was easier for her back then, all we had on TV was Judith Chalmers or Cilla and the hight of beauty was Selina Scott or Anneka Rice. A moomin would would have been a better choice sexually than that bunch.

I`m Canadian. The monarchy has no real impact on my life. I don`t give a shit who the marry or who dies or whatever. They could make Jesus the next king and it still wouldn`t affect me. I don`t care.

it'd be interesting to know how much relevant influence the royal family still has today.

trade and industry assets set in motion from the times of East India Company etc. (?)

anyone more familiar?

it's probably good for UK to keep some of these assets domestic by declaring it private/monarchy property. keeping the monarchy must be also good for reenforcing political options amongst the people... correct me if i'm wrong but it seems they live like fucking gods on the expense of tax payers, but remain only a subject of protocol and tabloids.

are royal navy and royal air force supported by the monarchy or are they named that way to sound cool?

I couldn't give a shit about the inbred idiots

Aren't all Englishmen inbred idiots?

Living in Norfolk I find it hard to disagree.

I've been to Norfolk quite a lot. There is DEFINITELY a lot of inbreeding going on. I find it disturbing.
