Hello. Found a new sound on one of me VSTi's today and was trying it out in a Beverley Hills 808303 style acid banger...This is the result!

Get down and rave to this monster.

It is late night so am in a pretty open mood. Initially I am finding this much more instant than your last track for sure. As you say pretty bangin. I'm not a massive minimilist techno/acid fan but I think it does what it says on the tin.

I guess the big problem with a track like this is the identity element. I could hear this played on a radio station or in a club and nod my head and shit but I don't think I could say 'ah that is xyz'. Good party music I guess. Also as things progressed I was urging desperately for a phat F.U.S.E style reverby handclap or distorted one at some point. I'm not sure I was big on some of the later percussion and beats. I felt the funk would have been stronger without the drum rolls and just more with the addition of say a handclap. Yeah percussion gets too frentic for my tastes as it progresses. Tempowise also if I was being totally honest probably a touch fast for me. Nothing like totally mindblowing but overall a pretty solid track I'd say. More enjoyable than your last one BCM. :-)

i'd say bring the hi-hats in four bars sooner, i felt like i had to wait too long for them, i really wanted the drums to fuckin build. also, maybe you could use less hi-hat notes in more strategic places instead of a straight-eight, to funk up the cool loops in teh background, which i really like. it starts to sound too much like goth club music when the bmm-sss beat comes in. i agree w Promo that a real funky beat would really bring out the kind of swinging quality the backgorund loop has, whereas the drums as you have them now give the track, for me at least, more of an overall robotic/industrial feel. if that's what youre goin for then i say keep it, but do consider the funky alternative as a different take on the feel you've got goin.

Safe. Cheers for the constructive advice - I was thinking about this track all last\night and nearly got up and started tweaking it at about 4am....Anyway, have some more ideas for it, gonna be good I hope. I'll post a v.2 in a bit.

Was only really messing about anyway, just like, knocked this up in a couple of hours while dancing about the living room, with my mates getting annoyed at how loud I was playing it....

Anyway, cheers lads!

twas banging, reminds me of stuff i used to listen to on r+s back in the mid 90s. it is what is - a big aggressive thumping thing. as promo said, the only i missed was a regular snare/clap hit, other than that all that's missing is a warehouse and some dirty fucking speed to splinter your teeth on.
