That was one of the first metal albums i got into, bought the cassette during a family vacation when I was 10. Haven't heard it in over 15 years. Oh man, nostalgia time... Looking forward to new Down. And the new tour. I love Down, they are fucking brilliant! I was listening to Pantera a couple nights ago and lamenting that most metal singers these days rely too much on imitating a common metal vocal style. Phil's one in a million. Yeah, a disturbing number of black metal fans don't know what the hell they're getting into when NSBM rears its stupid little head; it can slip under the radar a bit if you're just out to CONSUME ALL THE BLACK METALS. Or maybe those little blackened cracker metalheads just don't care? Most black metal of course is happy to say fuck you to all Abrahamic religions and would welcome diversely ethnic former practitioners of said religions into the fold so long as they slaughter a few goats and wear wolf pelts.
