Anyone ever done this or know someone who has? You basically live on a farm. They provide accommodation and food in exchange for 6 hours of work a day.

Im not afraid of work, so...

 

I want to go to Europe for a month

 

Only problems i see are not having pocket money and not being close to a city and stuck in a rural area.

 

Still curious. I need to travel on the cheap.

I have a few friends that have wwoofed... six hours a day seems like a pretty hopeful schedule. Farming is a lot of work. Probably depends on the place you end up though.

I've considered trying it for a while when I get out of college. Of course if you're travelling Couch Surfing is a similar option, but you'd probably have to get a new place every day or two & buy your own food.

I'd save up no more than $2,000. You'd probably want to make sure you enjoy spending a lot of time exhausted + introspecting.

must be a more rewarding and just as cheap way to travel EU. Maybe camping in a tent in the cities. Live on good Euro bread
