I drank 10 beers and a shot of whiskey last night, and wasn't nearly as fucked up as the guy next to who drank two Millers and 3 glasses of wine.

i don't understand people who enjoy getting drunk on a regular basis.

granted, i'm a lone wolf kinda person and don't enjoy being a social butterfly so go figure.

sharing some drinks with a couple friends is cool

i've had good times drinking, but those memories are foggy and sometimes nonexistent anyway.

then abruptly ended by pukefests on the toilet and drunk dialing people.

i know TONS of people who drink on a regular basis, often every night..

makes me wonder how they afford it and how they remember anything about their lives at all

"oh man, i was so drunk last night"

then the next day

"you wouldn't believe how much i drank last night, that party was awesome!"

and then two days later

"dude, the gig went great! i was so wasted.."

etc, etc like some weird way of gaining social status with everyone else doing the same shit

psychadelics are more my thing i guess, and even then parties aren't all that enjoyable on them.

i'd rather spend times outside in the sunshine or hiking up a mountain

Drinking is a lot of fun. I drank a lot last night and started work on a youtube playlist of hiphop videos in chronological order from the beginning to 2000, we're trying to make it about 5 hours long

i am a seriously heavy drinker, and i thoroughly enjoy it. ive been trying to quit buckfast for months now with no avail, i want to move to drinking simply cider and vodka. bucky is like alcoholic crack though

i can't go a day without drinking in the winter. or often in the summer, but definitely at the moment i'm every day drinking. i'm also pretty good at finding free booze - i live with some art students and they're always good at sniffing out the free booze in london. for example, simply by attending the gallery open nights on the first thursday of every month in vyner street, you can get arseholed for free.

also my company offers a free bar night once a month, which is convenient if you like getting arseholed for free. there's a very relaxed attitude towards drinking here and it's perfectly ok to have a couple of beers or a glass of wine or two at lunch, in fact i did it today.

if you can't afford every day drinking you need to increase your free booze knowlege - or get a better-paying job.

i got quite fucked up last night. i met one of my housemates after work and had some cocktails in soho - dry vodka martinis first, followed by some black russians. that's dinner and dessert. then i went home and had a couple of large glases of port.

i've seriously relapsed into the bucky this year, it's amazing stuff. i've knocked it on the head for the past couple of weeks though. right now, my favourite booze is neat jagermeister, straight from the fridge. it's kind of a bro's drink but i'm not doing shots of the stuff or anything, in fact i'm drinking it in a civilised manner from coffee cups. it all started when i got a fever and a cough, i swear it's medicinal.

haha, yeah i know.

admittedly, i've done my fair share of drugs.. mostly absurd amounts of weed for no real reason at all.

i went through a drinking phase but it was short lived and it didn't take long to figure out booze turns

anyone into temporary retards. then the unlucky few with "drankin' genes" end up alcholics in denial for the rest of their youth.

i can't generalize every drinker though, and i'm sure even here on watmm a bunch of ya know how to integrate booze in your lives responsibly.

really the kind of people i was talking about are the ones who won't admit they rely on booze to get by..

i work with a guy who is an AWESOME chef, but because he spends EVERY night drinking heavily he rarely actually finishes he job beyond making

a few bomb meals.. he's messy, disorganized, and often throws 3 minute anger fits throwing shit around the kitchen..

food service is full of people like this and from what i hear the stories don't stop once you're white collar..

even CEOs end up heavy boozers.

in the end though i realized i can't rely on any substance for fun and happiness exclusively.
