So in the decade between Prometheus and this film, Weyland Corp. has become Weyland-Yutani of the original films.  The ending of AvP Requiem was always bollocks anyway.

Film is stunning to look at so far, by the way.

Just got out. Was surprised - it was actually pretty good.

 

Only really gets stupid and predictable in the last third or so. Guns - Aliens, you know the drill by now.

 

Absolutely stunning visuals. Very beautiful to look at. Amazing sets. Acting is about the standard for an action flick with people asked to speak ludicrous dialogue. Some of the cast are just obviously cannon (alien) fodder from the very beginning.

 

There were two scenes in particular that were very cool and I didn't expect them so late in this franchise, full marks for inventiveness. I wonder who wrote them?

 

 If you're on the fence about this one, I'd take a gamble when it hits the states.
