That old fake TCH

I remember when I was convinced it was THE campfire headphase - but it wasn't. However I ran into this specific fake while browsing the tubes some time ago. I listened to it again and yeah there are some tunes on it worth listening to for sure. I made a artsy video to this great fake version of farewell fire.

also the fake version of slow this bird down is so good.

still dunno if anyone has bothered looking up/knows of the real author of these tunes. The Sherbet Head is G-reat too.

I'm the last person to pass judgement on people for what they like. That realm is for teenagers who are trying to discover themselves and the place they think they belong.

These tracks sound nothing like BOC to me. I don't know why people bother to manufacture these fakes, other than to troll, because they are almost always amateur and only serve to confuse impressionable people. At a disservice to BOC themselves.

Very shortly after Campfire Headphase was released. A colleague of mine started talking about how much he liked the album. We started discussing individual tracks and how they appealed to us and for what reasons. It felt like we were talking about completely different tracks. We were. He had downloaded a fake. I was trying to convince him of this, without having the real CFHP at hand, and he wasn't having any of it. Needless to say, the saga ended with him feeling like a dick, and it's something I never wanted to happen, because he is a good guy.

obvious (now, not then) fakes but good nontheless.

I remember this being one of the more widespread fakes circuling the net and rumbo, yeah I had that same argument here on watmm too back then, claiming

a different feel of "the album" than others because of the wrong version - unaware of that at the moment yes.

Still, checking to see if anyone has got any new info on these tracks meanwhile putting them out there once again as I believe they're worth looking into [the whole album has a more sinister dark/harsh technical feel to it].

IMHO, if you pirate, you deserve to get trolled by fakes.

I don't know about the first, but this one is a section of "Sofia", by Nintari.

Unfortunately his website no longer exists, but he made the album that this is from, "Protector" available for free in a variety of hi-res formats.

I was lucky enough to have grabbed the 24bit 96khz version long before he disappeared.

At any rate, I think it is absolutely CRIMINAL that this album should not be heard by anyone else,

so I'm uploading the original 2496 FLAC versions, plus some downsampled 1644 flac and MP3 versions, to mediafire tonight.

If anyone follows this thread, I'll be posting the links tomorrow.

I'll check in with his old musical mate, William Fields, to see whether he thinks it'd be kosher.

At any rate, if you skip in about a minute or so into 'Sofia', you'll hear the above clip.

Cheers all-=

But since I'd already uploaded it - and to take the load off his server, you can also download it here:

192kbps MP3:

or

16bit 44khz FLAC:

or

I put an (innaccurate) readme in each of them stating that his website was down, etc.

If you like him, contact him and let him know-

soooooooooo great to find out about. Gonna be sweet listening to the accompaning tunes on the lp.

from what I can hear nintariman uses kind of the same sound palette for the whole lp. As the fake "compilation" seems

to have a similar palette all over it too, I feel it would be strange for it to be a actual compilation from

different artists - the songs fit to good (I'm biased here...).

Anyway thanks again for taking your time to post this
