I don't think the nice tits thread is the reason Fred quit spending time in Genban. I'd say the bannings and ltm crap damaged the health of the community, which led to the intrusion of more well-behaved but ultimately less interesting 4chan types. So imo, the growing prevalence of bland, typical stuff on watmm, of which you may or may not see the nice tits thread as an example, can be traced back to JR's policies. Kind of ironic. It's like calling the police to break up a wild and wacky party, and then blaming the wallflowers who didn't get arrested for being boring. That's reading a bit too much into it though. Everyone likes nice tits. I'm guessing the comments about trying to somehow monetize watmm/go legit carry some weight. That, or it was just JR's time of the month. It's like the Japan quake, you know it's going to happen sooner or later. The ltm forum stuff was already resolved, so time to pick a new target... So I don't really see a cause for an outrage if GenBan continues as it is sans porn threads. But I am not cool about the ezkerraldean banning. I didn't see any blatantly racist shit posted by him, some jabs at jews here and there but I took it as an ironic thing with him being a fan of klezmer music and all. One could argue that even ironic or racism in jest shouldn't be accepted, but on the other hand I had hoped that we would be more thick skinned than that and not get all hurt for what gets said on an internet fan message board for marginal electronic music. (And reading about August von Mackensen wiki page, he seemed more opposed to the Nazi regime than for it, so pretty weak if that was the straw that broke Joyrex back). And on the subject of GenBan getting more juvenile and crap with the fading of longtime contributing members, I blame the creation of LTM forum, which allowed them to move away from GenBan and have their own clique and perhaps even having an influence on how things are done around here in general. Yes, it's Joyrex board, but the members and community that is formed on it is what makes it worthwhile. Maybe it was the youth and excitement of discovering IDMz and WATMM at it's hayday in the early part of 2000 that makes me think it was better before or then I am just old and jaded today. Turned out he wasn't the brightest altogether. I actually got him to change his nickname to LittleKidLover (inspired by an episode of The Office) cause I told him it meant "someone who gets all the hot chicks" About those butt threads, I never saw them as a porn resource, more like the digital equivalent of some guys (or girls) in a pub blabbering about their preferences, which was pretty interesting.
