Shrubs
One of my absolute favorites is "Fusion" by the Jimmy Giuffre 3. It was reissued a few years back along with its companion album "Thesis" (also great) as "1961". The Jimmy Giuffre 3 went through many different lineups, this one is Giuffre on Clarinet, Paul Bley on piano, Steve Swallow on bass. The album has a real chamber music aesthetic.
