Younger Brother

Not sure how I slept on this album. I loved their last album, Last Days of Gravity. This one is much more conventional. quite an arc these guys are on considering their first record was just benji and posford. This record has very normal song structures but sounds similar to the last one with less emphasis on the electronics. I like it though. Anyone else into these guys at all?

i like the first younger brother album, then they started doing vocals on every song..... i stopped listening

im a HUGE early simon posford fan, i love his Infinity Project 'Mystical Experiences' album as well as the Celtic Cross lp and the first 3 shpongles, also Dub Trees is really good

it's really a shame he stopped doing Hallucinogen

if you like dub trees album you should check out east of the river Ganges album. it's got the dude from the orb and I think tangerine dream helped out on it too. I wish there was more than 1 dub trees album.

the first two hallucinogen albums were a little too much for me but the vibe did grow on me later. I am much more of a shpongle fan. I did love the in dub album though.

as for the singing on younger brother, it has really grown on me and I particulary like the Floyd type vibe tbey have going on. Simon has really spread his wings with this one. maybe he is afraid to tarnish the hallucinogen legend?
