I've seen enough salvia vids to know not to try it. I'd think that anyone who tries it has also seen those same videos and knowingly puts themselves in that situation. They kinda have it coming if they jump out of a window.

funny if he's okay. I remember when I did it I tried to get up to look at something but we were taking it in turns and someone just pushed me back down onto the sofa. probably a good idea although I was on the ground floor.

could have sworn this appeared in the funny videos thread. they were on the first floor, he was fine. (relatively speaking)

This should be used as a scare-video concerning drugs.

Now that we're on the use of salvia, I had a chat conversation with some musician I've talked to for some years now, he did salvia and described it to me afterwards, I saved it and made this:

They failed to ban it in Texas for a second time. It's not even prohibited to sell it to minors. The bill was sponsored by a rural conservative, and then killed, somewhat ironically, by another rural conservative.

Yup, I think the original video was a bit longer and showed him coming back to the apartment but the Liveleak version cuts that out to make it look more omgwtf

salvia is sticking your finger in an electrical outlet to see how it feels. some people are just into that further-realms-of-experience thing.

i dont think you could pay me to try that these days. maybe in my early partying years. maybe.

i can't even smoke herb anymore, it makes me too paranoid. im good with wine, gin and beer.

edit: sorry if the vid was a repost, i thought it was too funny not to share.

it's easy overlook how much minds differ, as you can't hop into anyone else's. i got high the first time i tried weed, and i thought it was awesome. meanwhile, some chick in my freshman dorm took a couple tries to get high. then when she did, she became incoherent. insanely anxious and paranoid, almost to the point of being out of control. one person clawing the walls while someone else wants one "for the road."

psychedelics/tripping is like this even moreso than weed. some people will have problems outright (going through the window), some will find it unpleasant and grueling, some won't get what all the fuss is about, and some will absolutely love it. the ones that love it tend to make a hobby out of it, and with that comes the desire to try different psychedelics for a wider range of experience. that is the sort of person that salvia works for... the problem is that it's a common frat boy thing now -- watch your buddy take a rip of salvia and then laugh as he does crazy shit. it's like putting rocket fuel in a yugo.

i would never want to influence anyone to try salvia saying things like 'it's good' but i'm not entirely sure i would want to say solely 'it's bad' either. in the end it must be really driven home that it is a personal decision, and that the risks are quite high, especially if you are already a pretty smart person with potential for loss.

when george lamb did it on that bbc show it didn't seem so fucked up. but climbing through a glass window and chucking yourself to the floor is proper fucked up.
