Yeah Vegas is really light on resources and has a completely self explanatory work flow. So +1 for Vegas from me anyways ...

The old Apple iMovie was good before they switched it all around.

Sorry. I know that isn't helpful.

I've only ever used it in the last year and I found it fairly easy, and I've never used a video editor before

as i was following the trending of my dilla lightworks video, i heard about this free video editing software called lightworks. not sure what OS it's built for, or what the learning curve is, but worth checking out i suppose.

LIGHTWORKS

sounds great, looks great... and it's free. the specs are a bit high so i'll see what program i get on with better and if one is a little slow it's not the end of the world. thanks.

the only video editing software that i've used that doesn't fuck up the aspect ratio or resoultion or whatever when i export a video is windows movie maker. seems im slightly mentally disabled when it comes to video editing though so i guess movie maker were made for people like me. i tried adobe premiere but it made me want to punch myself. i should try vegas.

How long ago did you try Premiere? Interoperability with other Adobe programs, like quickly replacing stuff with an After Effects composition, is what makes me pop ten boners for it.

The export is a little easier to deal with in recent versions as well.
