On November 7 in the UK and November 8 15 in the U.S., Sigur Rós will release Inni, a concert film and live album. It will be released by the band's own Krunk label, except in the U.S., where it will be released by XL, and Japan, where it will be released by Hostess.

Directed by Vincent Morisset, the film captures Sigur Rós performing at London's Alexandra Palace in 2008. Watch a clip from the film, of the band performing "Festival" from Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust, below. Download the Inni version of "Festival" here, in exchange for an email address.

Also below, find the tracklists for the album and film. It features an unreleased song, "Lúppulagid", which plays over the credits of the film, and is included on the album as a non-live track. Inni will be released on a variety of formats, including a limited edition special edition available only through the Sigur Rós website.

The special edition includes the live album, the DVD, "an exclusive and unique-to-each-box artefact from the show itself in a numbered, printed envelope", a one-sided etched vinyl 7" containing "Lúppulagid", four photographic prints, a badge, and "a black opaque envelope with 10 pieces of A5 light sensitive paper with instructions and special url for posting your homemade images to the sigur-ros.co.uk website."

Inni will be screening all over the world this fall. Find a list of screenings here.

Went to a press screening of this yesterday and it was really enjoyable. Took a little while to get used to the extremely high contrast B&W footage but there was a great selection of tracks on there.

I think I prefer the Heima film in terms of visual content, but this was definitely a more intimate and raw representation of their live performances. Plus you get to find out where the name Sigur Ros comes from (probably common knowledge, but I didn't know why until I watched the film !)
