There were lots of these in the nonobvious delights thread, so as somebody else said in that thread, why not give scents their own? What are watmm's favourite nasal provocateurs?

The scent of pavement after a rainstorm.

The smell of the air before a rainstorm.

Pipe tobacco (burning or just sitting in a jar/ bag).

The smell of an extremely old book. The older, the better.

I am one of those people who hate the smell of rain after a summer rainstorm.

I like the smell of Raisin/cinnamon toast.

I too like pipe/cigar tobacco.

A good curry bubbling away will drive me pretty wild.

The scents that I like the most are the ones that carry with them a time and place, mostly from my childhood. Most of them are pretty indescribable and its usually a mixture of things together that produce such a nostalgic smell.

Whenever I encounter those smells, the strongest, most vivid memories flood my mind... Its the best fucking feeling.

edit: also, semen trees
