Well seeing as the reason for the worship of the og BR is its status as a lava lamp for autists (because it's really not that great of a movie and 2049 was better, don't @ me) I could see Alco's idea being a real hit.

just his everyday chores, like waking up into the eternal bleakness of his days, checking his android resistance newsletter that hasn't been updated in 2 years, wiping the yellow dust, collecting rain water, sipping his whiskey glass in complete silence, and setting up booby traps for when the day comes, while listening to the caretaker

I'm very into the first half/world-building but not so into the story, really. Especially the resistance replicants living in the ruins or whatever – feels phoned in. The final bits are good, though.

Forgot to mention that I funded Free League's Blade Runner RPG on Kickstarter last year and got the box set + expanded rulebook + GM screen some days back, it's another cool adaptation, very well made, if TTRPG's are your thing.
