data
Planet Kepler 16B orbits two stars in a system about 200 light-years away, in the constellation Cygnus. Kepler 16b circles the two stars at a distance of 65 million miles, while the stars themselves circle each other more closely. Some astronomers refer to Kepler 16b informally as Tatooine, which also has two suns. "NASA Detects Planet Dancing With a Pair of Stars, 9/15/2011". luke viia
not about tatooine, but did this amazing article about a SUN THAT IS SHOOTING WATER JETS INTO INTERSTELLAR SPACE get posted here yet? http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2011/06/110613-space-science-star-water-bullets-kristensen/ Seven hundred and fifty light-years from Earth, a young, sunlike star has been found with jets that blast epic quantities of water into interstellar space, shooting out droplets that move faster than a speeding bullet. The discovery suggests that protostars may be seeding the universe with water. These stellar embryos shoot jets of material from their north and south poles as their growth is fed by infalling dust that circles the bodies in vast disks. splesh
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tataouine Tataouine's a real place, OP. You wouldn't need to work at NASA to find it, just a map of Morocco.

When I heard the story on NPR I was like "Tatooine!?" and my wife thought it was cute. That's why I married her. The end.
