Why do I dream about BoC?

Okey dokey,

Last night I had this full on fucking mindblowing dream about Boards of Canada, thankfully nothing homosexual lol. Just a mix between Lost, Treasure Island and Apocalypse Now.

Without being all pleased about this, like your average twoism.com user would be. I find this a bit strange and a bit unnerving. Why do these 2 geezers keep cropping up in my dreams? All through my music listening lifetime I have never (that I recall) dreamnt about musicians, I am sure I have but I don't remember them. I think I dream about BoC a lot, very vividly too.

This is open to humour and ridicule, so feel free to take the piss, but on a more serious note why do the Sandisons regulary appear in my dream world? Tbh it bothers me.

Is it just me?

Sounds great. Try to enjoy whatever figments of emotion, nostalgia and atmosphere you can get. If you cultivate it, they can become a a part of yourself that you don't want to lose. I have combinations of various nostalgic elements that I love to feel and think about.

I had one not so long ago about hunting polar bears on the outskirts of this twilight kingdom. Me and BoC would go out hunting with these huge crossbows, crossing icy rivers and walking through canyons of ice. Most of the time the bears were hunting us but we managed to ward them off with our arrows. I remember losing my shoes in the ice but making it back to a shack in the snow. I opened the door and all these tropical snakes came writhing out the door.

It was at that point I woke up with a start.

WTF LoL

i had a dream about cheese once. massive cheddar cheese's on revolving vertical spits, a bit like the lamb/elephant/horse meat leg you see in kebab shops. i'd had cheese before bed.

Can't blame the cheese chaps. That's an urban myth because my dreams have always been fucking nuts but being allergic to the milky goodness I haven't eaten cheese for aeons.

maybe boc influences your unconscious/subconscious mind more than anything else in your life, thus subjecting you to bocrelated dream-scenes more than anything else...

this.

basically you're thinking too much about silly ol' BoC, mate!

take a short break from the obsessing over... ;)

I am definatly thinking more about Holly Valance at the moment, as my household is in Stictly Come Dancing Mode.

Yet instead of dreaming about Holly I am dreaming about 2 blokes in beanies lol.

I think it's because you're a fanboy and you spend too much time thinking about them and their music. It's nothing more than a theory though, just throwing it out there.

I routinely have dreams about listening to albums that I haven't even heard before. But in your situation, you go on a BoC subforum so you spend a lot of time thinking about them. During sleep your mind simply sorts through what you did all day.

Moral of the Story: Stop spending too much time on here.

I have record store dreams a lot. I always find everything I'm looking for, and all these records that don't even really exist... then just before I drop the needle in the groove, I always wake up. With a little wet spot in my underwear. strange.

Looks like even your subconscious can't wait for the new album! : )

If you listen too much to Geogaddi this shit will happen, I've heard about at least three other people with similar problems. With repeat listens the sounds on the record create a permanent neuronic gateway in your brain which cannot be closed. Given that the brain is the receiver/filtration device for energy/communication to/from extra-dimensional and non-physical/soul realms, this process will render you vulnerable to psychic attack from any physical/non-physical interlopers who are aware of the gateway.

The Sandisons are appearing in your dreams with increasing frequency in order to acclimatise themselves to your energy matrix with a view to eventually assuming complete control of your physical organism through remote psychic interference/mind sex.

Covering your head in aluminium foil can help to reduce these 'visitations' in the short term but in the long term you would be well advised to read up on some basic psychic self-defense techniques with a view to engaging the Sandisons in mental combat within the dreamstate before your nervous processes are completely compromised.

Hope this helps.
