So Planet Mu already have 'Ital Tek' and now 'Ital' as well? I figured it was an Ital Tek alias but apparently it is not...

He released shit on 100% Silk, the Not Not Fun sister label

A 5-track album? Hope they are decent length tracks, otherwise its an EP in my book.

album is 40 mins+, so yeah you can call it an album.. :)

of all the hyped up Mu releases of the last year or so, this is probably the only one that did absolutely nothing for me. Besides the retro nostalgia referencing, there is much else there

Wow. I have to say when I first sampled this album a month or two back, it did not grab me at all. In fact I kept wondering why I was seeing it pop up on so many music review sites and stuff. But today it hit me like a ton of bricks. Really digging this big time. I agree, Israel is a beautiful track.

Interesting that Mu has picked up two 100% Silk artists now (Ital and Polysick), I wonder who will be next? Maybe SFVacid?

Anyway, this really just proves how you have to be "ready" for an album sometimes.

So recently I got a request from a user if there is a possibility to do a Kickstarter similar to the Caustic Window LP we did back in 2014 for Tom's "Methyl Orange" LP, a 2x12" whitelabel apparently only given to Richard, Chris Jeffs, GWC, and potentially a few other mates. Was destined for MEN Records (a Rephlex sublabel) back in 2003 but never saw the light of day.
Wait - what? "Methyl Orange LP"? I'd never heard of it until now...
So, a bit of Googling (you get a lot of science-y stuff if you just Google "Methyl Orange"), and I did find where I am assuming Tom played these tracks live for WARP20 and keyfumbler posted it to Mixcloud:
A comment on the Mixcloud page seems to indicate this set contains tracks from that LP, and Richard has played some in recent live sets:
Anyone have more info? I would like to know a bit more, and the possibility of a Kickstarter is highly unlikely, but I'd like to know more.

      Hi,
So since early 2019 I've been spending a lot of time gathering all my favorite bits from Vsnares catalog, eventually gathering them in this massive mix.
I tried to make it more eventful than a simple "deck to deck" mix, yet smooth and enjoyable for a casual listener. Hardcore fans might enjoy tracking down all the subtleties too.
No deck was used, all the sync & mix was done with Audacity and Calculator, a few effects were added sporadically. Almost every track has been edited at some point.
I tried a Mixcloud upload but this got instantly unavailable for USA listeners (really...), so I quickly did a Mixlr link :
      https://mixlr.com/nyuhm/showreel/lcmx03-venetian-snares-4
      Tracklist : https://pastebin.com/JYAnFYTN
      Hope you enjoy.
PS: some might remember 4 years ago i applied the same principle on Autechre discography, still online (and ok for USA ;) : https://www.mixcloud.com/NYUHM/autechre-25-years-the-megamix/
