It's funny to think that such a cutting edge sound could wind up sounding "retro" but that's how all those Detroit Underground guys are for me. Electronic music moves too fast sometimes. It's probably the most attention deficit form of music I can think of. Contrast it with rock whereby the template laid down by Led Zeppelin is pretty much followed to this day. I like to slip into something angular that pokes me all over like this stuff.

And who knows, maybe the rest of the EP, apart from this 20 second sound clip, prominently features a some ancient Roland kit or some wobble or some unquantized hand claps, so he sounds all state of the art.

Maybe now we have the idm style and people can comfortably work within it without the need to progress. Sounds good. Devine's always been about technique, at least to me.

To be honest I hate how the teaser is only 20 seconds long. It actually says nothing about the new direction he´s going for.

Yeah sounds like Snares trying to parody Devine but with little success at mirroring his works - Sounds more like a Stockhausen or more abstract Derbyshire piece.
