What TV series are you watching at moment?

well yeah i said drama, not comedy. i have never seen a good british drama and i've probably seen everything you listed. they just suck at televised drama, i don't know why. the comedy stuff is better than american most of the time.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Smiley's People are great.

All Creatures Great and Small (both the film and the TV series) are very good, though not strictly drama.

More recently

This is England

Black Mirror

The Fall

i absolutely love british comedy. huge fan of american aswell, but britain, and in particular chris morris and armando ianucci, nail dark humour with something approaching perfection.

jesus, that latest episode of vice principals was the most cringe inducing half hour I've experienced in a long while (literally closed my eyes and blocked my ears at several points).

end of this year.

I just finished season 1 and the first ep of season 2. itsa good-a showww!

the moment I knew I was gonna like this was at the end of the pilot, when Rick is going off at Morty about all the amazing adventures they're going to go on following their failed retrieval of the megaseeds (as Rick is spasming in agony on the floor from withdrawal), and Rick is going all word-salad like "100 times Rick and Morty things, allll Rick n Morty adventures, www.rickandmorty.com forever..." I have a co-worker who looks a little bit like a young Rick (same hair) and talks exactly like that when he gets excited.

Rick and Morty is amazing.

I'm really diggin the Night Of too, glad to see it's getting a lot of love around here. The last episode was great, finally seeing Naz's character develop and grow more confident. Riz Ahmed plays it brilliantly, and John Turturro is great as always.

Currently watching old episodes of Dr. Katz Professional Therapist on youtube, lol. Nostalgia. Mitch Hedberg is on the on this one.  :mu-ziq:

usual british drama isn't very good

thing about British tv is that its been doing it better & longer than most, you just have to know where to look & thats no cultural supremacist snob bs

classic examples of drama and comedy?

the early docufictional works by Ken Russell - the Vaughn-Williams fest and the Delius inspired 'Song of Summer', incredible imagery throughout

the ultra-mega squeamish delights of the Robert Graves adaptation of 'I Claudius' (John Hurt in the role of a lifetime as Caligula) is 1 of the best series ever broadcast

Dennis Potter's 'The Singing Detective' w/Michael Gambon + 'Pennies From Heaven' w/Bob Hoskins rrrrrrrrock

two docufictional works also deserve honourable mentions - 'Culloden' by Peter Watkins & 'Winstanley' by 'Kevin Brownlow, immense innovative story-telling for their time

even found time to watch all the Blackadders & Young Ones while recuperating from surgical operations not too long ago & fuck me they're still funny as when 1st viewed 30+years ago

add Brass Eye, The Day Today, various Alan Partridge gear, the League of Gentleman, Nighty Night, The Thick Of It, Hunderby, Psychobitches & most recently Camping (<----the funniest thing witnessed in eons)

btw, more than happy to evangelize about Camping every so often cos it was subscription-channel based & difficult to find via alternative means, more than happy to dropbox the 6 x 30mins episodes if any1 is arsed

missed loads, just dont take Sherlock, Luther & Downton as the usual bollix

Camping sounds interesting! Hook me up when you get a mo please.

ere u go chap

http://rlseries.com/camping-season-1/

go to the openload/tvcuk.mp4 links for direct dloads, all checked n virus free

stick w/it, its a comedy of freakish awkwardness, plays well on certain Anglo-Saxon stereotypes and gets progressively darker & more fucked up with each episode

Julia Davis is the lass behind Nighty Night & Hunderby, an exceptionally talented woman. Find those series too if you can, well worth your time

Watched Riget/The Kingdom a couple of weeks ago. Both seasons that is.

Haven't watched it since I was a kid and it scared the living crap out of me back then. But wow, that show is hilarious! It's amazingly absurd.

Right now I'm going watching The Bachelorette with my girlfriend. Luckily, she's only watching it because of how terrible it is but I am blown away at how insanely terrible it is. I'm in shock. This is fucking insane!

Anyway... Back to reality...

Mr. Robot ep. 6 - Some may have found it pretentiously cheesy, but the first 20 minutes of this past episode was probably my favorite from any show of recent memory. That title sequence alone was amazeballs. Angela's intro in particular.

Get your bug eyes off me /10

Yeah it was fucking amazing how spot on the they got the tone of that first 20 minutes.

Good mid-season cliff-hanger as well.

Plus, all the Alf was double-plus good.
