oh well, regroup and try again in five years. You only have to win once. I am quite saddened though, loss (almost reported as the counting goes at this stage) must be the result stockholm syndrome. One day your countrymen that voted no will also be able to show the world that there's something swinging proudly under those kilts.

;-/ /-;

It's probably old people versus young people, so if you don't get it this time, have another go in five-six years. I wonder how much money they spent trying to rig it as well. also, fuck you 53.8 per cent of clackmannashire. ;-p

Jesus Christ. Have you got any idea what you're even talking about?

That CNN image shows the result of a ScotCen poll, not official tally results. No typo, and nothing to do with ballot counts. They called 2000 people, asked them leading questions to manipulate the results, and threw it on TV for wow-factor and a ratings boost.

Lol no typo? Add up those two numbers and see if you can't spot the typo.

Glad Scotland is staying..maybe you'll take heed of the idea of federalism.

Another referendum will be more bitter and be a politically divisive issue. Not good for the country...we lived through one in Canada and it was ugly.

I voted Yes in the end, though the outcome was inevitable. For all the protestations of doom, it would've been interesting to see where we could have gone as an independent nation, but I guess we'll never know.

As it stands, I'm glad to see Cameron talking about devolved powers for the entire UK as the current situation is untenable. Scotland needs devomax for sure, and it's about time the other constituent countries of the UK had more of a say in matters that principally concern them. However, as much as I don't want to see a reneging on the issue of greater devolved powers, it would be wise to not rush into the new set-up as it's going to need proper consideration that stands independent of individual political persuasions (however much of a pipe dream that ultimately may be).

Well, at least Cameron is being civil about it all. Here the Minister of Foreign (!!) Affairs is already threatening to disband the Catalan parliament and even send the army in if our vote goes through...

Anyway, all the best to you Scots.

Well at least the whole debacle has sparked openness for more autonomy from the English, and other benefits (can't remember what Cameron promised exactly).

So it doesn't seem like an awful outcome, all things considered.

its gonna be brutal. most tories have basically declared open warfare on scottish funding because we had the audacity to challenge their authority.

"We have heard the voice of Scotland and now the millions of voices of England must be heard" david cameron today.

we . are. fucked. and we chose it ourself.

I don't follow British politics that much, but how is Labour doing? Is seems socialist parties are doing really poorly around Europe.

Is it wrong for me to say that Labour in power, is probably the best for Scotland? (considering Scotland maybe being more leftist, and maybe a bit more progressive than the English conservatives?)

labour has destroyed itself. the tories are looking at a complete win at the next election, scotland now fucking hates them, and pretty much all their policies are tory-lite. what terrifying is the gains UKIP are making. Pretty much a sad day for me.
