Awesome! Expectations met and exceeded...mostly because I was expecting a well-produced but nonetheless super smug slideshow by some super-white grad student.

I say we petition the artist to do a "history of electronic music" comic strip!

builds up to a 4 page spread on Skrillex

it'll be an international hit

i'd buy it.

Nice, in high school I liberated a Martha & Henry book from the library :D

Awesome that it's bringing in all the "elements" and not being just about the music

You've missed a few out there Joyrex...

They've been rolling out once a week...

What? Where - I checked his site and he's got no mention of any of the History of Hip Hop comics... I thought he was doing them for BoingBoing exclusively.

      Theta - Reclaimed Structures
Theta is an artist based in Tromso, Norway.

He develops sounds that are inspired by nature and technology, but mostly by the interaction and thresholds between the two and the dystopias this interaction can lead to. The result is often close to dark ambient, soaked through tamed noise passages that carry a crust punk tonality which flirts with existential black metal.
The EP was released today on the Acroplane Recordings store at www.acroplane.org
It will then be released via Bleep, Boomkat, Juno, Addictech and the usual big stores one week later, ie Monday 2nd December 2019.

      Hi!

I’m Timi Alexander, a 23-year old Finnish singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist living in London, and I'll be releasing my debut solo album on Soundcloud and Spotify within a week or two. The record takes influence from the 90s alternative rock and hip hop production (Liquid Swords is a big inspiration on the skit-like nature of the album flow), a combination that will further be explored on the future releases, as well as Aphex Twin. I've performed and produced all the music in my bedroom, an environment I've found surprisingly inspiring over the course of the making of the album.

In case you're interested, here's a Dropbox mp3 download link to the (yet) unreleased full album:

Here's a discussion for LiL PEEP and the divisive but poignant music he makes...

shit resonates with me, it's paradoxically deep and shallow all while remaining entrancing in a lullaby sort of way...

it's almost guaranteed, unless you have no soul, that if you stumble on the right track, you will become entranced:
