Rain appreciation

Grey/rainy weather today, and I love it.

Ever since I've been a kid I've always loved the rain. I don't know why that is. All I ever hear is people complaining about the rainy weather. But i'm usually happy when it starts to rain. It's just so atmospheric, It gives me chills down the spine.

Sorry for being a bit cheesy. But I was just wondering if anyone else feels like this?

or in the west of the netherlands. being lashed by cold rain sucks.

i do approve of the granular nature of its sound and the sonic variety of surfaces it falls on.

No... But I do live in Denmark. And it rain quite a bit here aswell.

But you're right. It can be annoying at times, and it can rain too much. It's not like I want it to rain all the time.

But it's not as awful as some people make it to be.

yes, but as far as precip goes it's much worse than snow in any case. raingear is a pain in the ass to get right/leakfree, but snow you can just brush off of most stuff.

I very much appreciate rain, especially in the summer. but during the fall/winter, the non-stoppedness of the rain can never be over played. it quickly loses it's appeal. this is coming from a guy who has a over a decade of SUPER rain in prince rupert and over a decade of SUPER snow cold under his belt. there are oft times i prefer the cold to the rain, but never really the other way. at least in frigid temperatures you can get sun. so when one is depressed that is a huge plus.

but, yeah, in the end, the greyness and the sound and everything makes rainy days pretty alright. you don't feel like an asshole for sitting inside on watmm all day.

I live in Houston Texas, so close to the Gulf of Mexico we get some pretty sweet rain/thunder storms over here.

I freaking love the rain. Best sleep i've ever had in my life was the summer when it sounded like lightening was literally striking in my backyard. Shit sounded like a battle in the heavens directly above me, rain was pouring hard and the sky was a nice calm gray. Had an odd dream from that sleep too and even though I was playing Xtal softy in the background i could still hear it all.

I even appreciate the deadly rain from Hurricanes, no matter what it is, Rain is either calming and beautiful or dangerous and beautiful.

Fuck rain. At least it's stopped here for a little bit.

I will say one thing though - at least with Vancouver's lack of humidity, getting soaked doesn't matter too much cause you have a chance to dry off. Mosoons in the summer in Korea, Japan, India - good luck! Once you're wet from the rains you're staying wet.
