I just had a second thought about that

here is more info about the robot: http://logosfoundati...um_gwr/HAT.html

The topic where it was mentioned did not really go anywhere and it was not used in any release before. So whats up with that? Is he spoiling us for his next release where we will have a full drill n bass release but with this beast drumming or whats the purpose of this? I don't think the information about it leaked randomly. So what else do we have? This picture of him standing in front of new gear also not used yet:

Aphex+Twin.jpg

plus him telling in interviews he has several release ready. In addition he is willing to work together with radiohead (Jonny Greenwood) and maybe even did some material with Krzysztof Penderecki and Jonny Greenwood in secret too as they where doing some cooperation after the festival where he performed with Penderecki

what else do we have as a fact?

edit: Another image of his studio surfaced:

I think I remember him saying that he thinks radiohead are really obvious and bad?

yeah and he took that back in a recent interview right before Greenwood and him met with Penderecki I just can't find the interview right now. He said something along the lines of "do not take everything the press says seriously" to Greenwood

From the 4th page of the thread mentioned in 1st post:

By the way: Rock. On the European Congress of Culture you have company: The sister project related to the same piece of Penderecki is going to be realized by Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead. You once stated, that you do not like this band too much.

Thats a fact, but recently I contacted Thom York though the internet. I told him: Do not believe everything you read on the newspapers.

So did you bury the hatchet ?

My opinion towards my demotivation with radiohead was exaggerated.

Your few appearances on the media lead to a wide echo with everything you say.

Yeah there's something to it. But I really don't recall what exactly I said. Usually I don't pay attention, so I probably maneuvered

like this: "Hate this fucking Radiohead", or something in that manner.

searching for facts...

facts not found.

lol the robot is a fact

mmmmm he never said, he's WILLING to work with jonny

yeah maybe its all speculation thats why I did the topic in the first place. on the other hand the gear is real the robot is real and he did perform a new track that is still unreleased next to Greenwood which is also a fact

He tried to control a real orchestra with a kind of remote MIDI controller during one of those polish performances too.

lol "tried"

Warp can force Aphex to release one of the three albums he owns them, but they would rather release stuff like "My Best Freind" :fail:

you be dyslexic today

I feel it's better if they don't force him on an album he may owe them

Steve Beckett said:

“I don’t know a single note or anything about it,” he explained. “It will be as much of a surprise to me as anyone else.

“Basically I find out what it sounds like when we go into the mastering room and he puts it - well how it used to be, he'll put the DAT player in and there it’ll be - so that’s the first time I’ll hear it.

“Then I’ll go onto my knees and thank him and then we’ll put it out.”

but honestly that was over two years ago, ok warp, go ahead and force him, it's time damnit

so it has been used by him? or is that just a concert by the people who build it?

Nice way to ruin what could otherwise have been a wonderful demonstration of an innovative piece of "gear"...by taping the thing in a dimlit room...

my thoughts exactly! I want to see what going on with a little more clarity

Well he went on to say something about "we make music for the right reason and thats all we can hope for eachother." I would imagine they might have smoked a spliff and made some music together though. I could actually see JG and Aphex getting along quite well.

Coming soon on ROHS! RECORDS (4th December 2020)
      https://rohsrecords.bandcamp.com
NEW NOYZELAB Album "CPMSubtree" audio will follow soon

Noyzelab is David Burraston - or is it that David Burraston is Noyzelab? After experiencing the man's work, you may not be able to tell the difference. Noyzelab's debut at ROHS! is a surrounding and otherworldly album called CPMSubtree, made up of five surreal displays of studio electronics that elasticize the album's forty-minute runtime into unfathomable stretches of displacement.
Currently residing in Australia, Burraston has spent many years refining his focus in many different departments - lectures and residencies around the world, collaborations with Aphex Twin, Chris Watson, Oren Ambarchi and Russell Haswell, recordings published at Important Records, Taiga, .MEDS, Cataclyst and Psoma Psi Phi, and installations assembled in dozens of indoor and outdoor spaces. He has built his own synthesizers and has written his PhD thesis on Generative Music & Cellular Automata, working to explore and document his research with generative systems, computing and all kinds of synthesis. On top of all of these things, he's often found with portable recording rigs, doing field recording to capture exotic and interesting atmospheres.
CPMSubtree is, at least in name, a follow-up to TTMSubtree, a cassette issued at Psoma Psi Phi in 2017, although the sounds presented here are wholly unique, in their own macroverse of existence. When listening to Burraston's music, you can never be quite sure what it is you're hearing or feeling - is that a sinewave, or feedback? Are those bells or a DX7? Is that a gust of Cootamundra wind on the mic, or algorithmically processed white noise? Are we frozen in space while otherworldly spectrums of color billow around us at light speed, or are we being poured down a waterfall, one molecule at a time, to coalesce into a pool of pulsing fluorescence? You might ask yourself any or all of these questions - but Noyzelab does not provide any answers. This is a one-way trip that you can't come back from, so proceed at your own discretion! For those of us eager to map the frontier of new and stimulating electronic music, the unknown has never been quite so rewarding.
NOTE: Noyzelab recordings utilize the full breadth of the frequency spectrum, and as such, are best experienced with either headphones or speaker systems that can yield very high and very low frequencies without issue. Lossless file formats are also encouraged, to minimize the reduction of these frequencies and their presence within the recordings.

      Hi,
I have a complete Analord binder (binder and records in mint condition) that I’ve owned from new since release. The binder was ordered direct via Rephlex’s website and the records from bleep.com as they were released. I haven’t played them and they’ve been in storage since buying. I’m getting more into buying synths/hardware and making my own music now and was wondering if anyone would be interested in a swap for their old/unwanted synth hardware.
Ideally, and maybe in my dream world 🙂 ,I’d like a Roland JX3P or SH101, but would consider any sensible offers of analogue or digital gear. Also I live in England near to Folkestone in Kent so would prefer to trade with someone in London/South East so we could physically meet and exchange the items.
If this of interest to anyone then drop me a message. Can provide pics etc to confirm condition.
