The darker the part of a picture is, the deeper it goes into the sphere, and the lighter a part of the picture is, the farther it pops out. Here, play with it yourself: http://mrdoob.com/135/Sphere I started putting in more and more images, and I eventually put in a picture of ICBYD, and it translates perfectly, buck-teeth and all. I'm really into that mapping stuff. best bet would be to ask Weirdcore ;) (like he'd respond on how he makes what he makes) would love to know as well, he also has a Kinect with some cool homemade mods on it (one where it maps a 3d Environment from a 2d image... so usually he'll be morphed into lots of cool shapes and colours at some point and it moves about impromptu around this virtual space it creates...) At the end of the final track, one will explode, instantly killing all of the people who were uncomfortably situated around it.
