i am happy to have come from an area which had a ton of cornish immigrant miners. there is a pasty shop off of capitol square in madison and oh my god they are TO DIE FOR.

I've heard some say they're really shit, but I'll have to try one when i come over.

 

depends where you go, innit. if you have some mass produced shit from a supermarket or something.. like a Ginsters... for example, then it will be shite, compared to a proper home-made-style pasty from a proper bakery, or something.

Okay so I read up on this "pastie" thing.. Why on earth would they suddenly want to tax a meat and potato filled dough thing? Of all the foods you could possibly tax.. a pasty?
