Now in it’s fifth year, for 2012 the Bangface Weekender festival will be moving to a new home in Cornwall from 15th – 17th September. Fittingly the festival have booked Aphex Twin, Luke Vibert and will be hosting a Rephlex 21st Birthday Showcase.

No, probably just another collection of unreleased live tracks for us to drool over and wonder if they'll ever see the light of day on a release...

Hey Lord of the Ooze!!!

We have been saying this for fucking years mate lol, so dream on.

I think the last event that everyone was wishing on a star for a new album was his 40th birthday. It's like a comedy script lol.

Happy days fella.

I'm so happy to be attending this. It is probably the most efficient way for me to experience all these artists.

Even more likely, a normal set with 20% afx tracks of which 1-2 are unreleased tracks he's already played before...

I assume 'exclusive' in this case is purely referring to the fact that this is his only 2012 UK performance thus far, and Warp only used that word for classic Warp hype purposes.

So where the hell is Steinvord?

No Steinvord no care.

lol, it was in reference to the Youtube comment.

On a serious note tho, this made me think. If Steinvord is a real person, why he hasn't made a single appareance yet? It would be a great opportunity to appear at the 21st Rephlex anniversary, if he was a real kid, along with the newer signed guys. He was signed around the time Monolith got signed, and he has been appearing live numerous times, they even got EOD on there. Im sorry for some of the guys but the Steinvord output is far better than some of the dodgy acts appearing on there. It would be great to hear some of those tracks being dropped on huge sound systems, specially since Squarepusher is not there, to hear some stuff of that nature (Tom you have failed us by not attending) It doesn't make sense to me. If I was some kid with skills signed by Rephlex, I would be willing to do live appareances and even get paid for doing so, it would be wicked. This just doesn't make any sense at this point.
