i'm listening to recloose's ep -spelunking on vinyl right now [it's fucking great]

and i am doing a mental inventory of all the records I own on planet e.

I haven't heard one thing from this label that i didn't like !

i realize this is a given but damm why does everyone jock warp, rephlex, skam etc so hard and not planet e?

it's like worshiping the rolling stones instead of muddy waters and howlin' wolf.

what a fucking amazing discography

In a more general sense: I wouldn't mind having more focus on the Detroit/US scene. But the thing is, imo, that this is more an IDM focussed forum, instead of say Detroit Techno. So anything US-related will be more Schematic related, than Underground Resistance, for instance. Even though a label like Rephlex might have roots which are genetically very much closer to UR than to Schematic. But I must admit I can not really put my finger on it why. Perhaps the problem is in the word Techno. If you open the door to techno, you open the door to all kinds of crap. And crap is always a sensitive subject. Thinking about the Skrillex thread, atm.

TLDR: Hurrah for Planet E!
