Hey guys... I'm new to the forum. Very happy to see this place is kept current.

I want to share tracks I've created over the years with you. Please enjoy. Anyone who wants to say hello to me... please do. (I'm lonely... and scared...)

'the yapper & the frog' is quite good, 'osaga' is lovely but unfortunately does not continue to evolve much at all and i like some of those softer bits

Really good stuff. Loving 'Game'

I can't believe that I wrote that track in 1999 on a single ASR-10 keyboard. How the hell did I do that? Seriously.. I thought about it yesterday and am not sure I'de be able to pull another track like that out of my ass.

I'm not sure how many of you on the forum make music, but this brings me to the idea of being limited to a single instrument and the beauty of that. In 1999 I was 25 and just had a single ASR-10 keyboard. No apps to download.. no fancy DAW. Having only that machine to work with forced me to suck the living life out of it. It was so fun... and it was a sampler... not even a synth.

Then the explosion occurred. Next thing I know I have Logic 3 and a PowerPC mac. Then came the software synths and so many plugins... oh so many plugins. I still was able to make great tracks... but sucking the life out of one of those synths was not impossible... I had tasted the fruit and realized my wing-wang was hanging out. Gasp!

Just curious to know if anyone else here has gone down this path.

personally my process doesn't get in the way of my art. I use a lot of fruity loops and free vsts from the internet. When I'm making music , I keep my eye on the prize. It's about the finished product. For me.

A number of tracks of mine happen the same way, though I admit in my eyes none are nearly as good as yours.

I find I just do them and they sound the way I want, and then a year or two later I think... how the fuck did I do that? thats NUTS?!

But then I think they're no good and I drink myself deeper into depression and wake up and forget I ever made something worth listening to.

=)

Edit: errr sorry about that post, that was after a half bottle of tequila on tequila sunday...

=/
