skotosa
Just got me a monome from a pal in cali and he said he thought it had firmware issues but that he was willing to give it to me. Well now I have it and since it is my first monome experience I'm trying to figure the whole thing out. I got it working thanks to this guide http://docs.monome.org/doku.php?id=setup:win and monome test works and I even setup sevenup in Abelton and managed to get it to work their although some buttons need a little extra push to work. Now I want to use this as a midi specifically with renoise. Apparently they have a tool called Duplex which works with the monome now but I can't seem to get the monome to be recognized in renoise. Not sure how to do that.
Nil
does duplex need MIDI or OSC from the monome ? maybe you should spend a little time with more simple set-up/apps like mlr just to get used to the way monome works ? I have both a 40h and a 256, but am OSX user and haven't jammed with my monomes for a while now :/
skotosa
Mine is 8x8 40h. It says here http://www.renoise.com/tools/duplex that either Midi or OSC capable controller. i'v just been getting used to Ableton and have managed to get loops and stepper from sevenUp working there but i'm more proficient with renoise (willing to learn Ableton though). Also an 8x8 seems so limited atm.
