that is incredible, especially considering watercolour is not exactly the media i would think would work for blade runner. but it really does.

wanna see commando as animated in thousands of airbrushings on black velvet

cock is not hard yet.

watercolour is a wonderful technique to portrait BR, as it is smudged and dimmed, thus being able to focus on atmosphere. still, this drawings are a bit too smudged and could use a bit more subtle details. will check out the whole thing anyway

cool idea. hate to be this guy, but the execution is a bit...off.

yeah, I hope he wins the most hipster thing to do ever award for this.

Hmmmm, I just had an idea.

I am going to remake all of the Star Wars series including the prequels only using my feces, blood and urine.

I believe this was George's original vision.

Chewbacca will be quite easy.

Greedo on the other hand.

nah Zaph, I agree... it's a cool idea, but the artwork needs a little more definition to be truly impressive. It seems too minimal and haphazard to really make me say "wow, good job" instead I'm just left thinking "Jeez, this guy has a LOT of free time"

or maybe those silver scratching things? you know, the black boards that when you scratch them, they're silver underneath. or even better, the ones that are shiny multicoloured underneath.

no idea what they're called.

sirch, by standing on the outside looking in I can smell hipster from a mile away. It smells like body odour.

Anyhow, trying to successfully remake a sci-fi epic by only using water colours is fucking hipster. I lived in Austin Texas for 7 years. Trust me on this one.

I'm glad I know the movie verbatim. Otherwise, most of this would just look like smudged colors.

anyone watching anything new that's worth passing along? i'm into the Freedom series right now, mostly bc of Otomo's design work, and catching up on Ghost Hound. is that Sword of the Stranger movie any good? The Sky Crawlers is the next big release i'm looking forward to but i'm always open to new titles.

Kirk Degiorgio struck gold during a recent dig through some of his old DAT tapes and unearthed 2 previously unreleased gems: a finished version of his widely acclaimed 90s classic ‘Hyperspace’ described by Kirk as the real Hyperspace and ‘Cosmos’, a rough uptempo percussive workout, proper crunch Future/Past sound. The DAT tapes also revealed a couple of tracks that were only ever released on CD: ‘TRY 2004 Funk Mix 2’ (from the 1993 ‘Applied Rhythmic Technology’ compilation) and ‘Locator’ (from the ‘Objets D'art 92-95’ compilation). All tracks were mastered straight off the original DAT tapes by Matt Colton to guarantee that extra crisp sound quality.
