"Deadbeat is ready to release his eighth studio album, simply titled Eight. The LP will come out on BLKRTZ, the label Monteith launched last year. It shows him continuing to refine the lurching style of dubby techno that's been his calling card for over a decade. He's joined in the studio by fellow Berlin-based Canadian Mathew Jonson, plus Cobblestone Jazz member Danuel Tate. Chilean minimal mainstay Dandy Jack makes an appearance as well. The album features all previously unreleased tracks, except for "Horns of Jericho," which came out this month on Dandy Jack's Rebirth EP. It will be available in September on triple-vinyl as well as digitally and on CD."

"Taking his hypnotic dub-techno experimentation on Drawn & Quartered (one of my favourite albums in a long time) and beefing up much of that sound with columns of bass, far clearer cleaner-cut beats and variation Deadbeat brings us his new album “Eight”. Set to drop on September 10th 2012."
