Hopefully this one will star Matthew Broderick again. If not, they can always get Freddie Prinze Jr. I smell a comeback.

Oh, the director of monsters. I wonder how he will handle this, can't be worse than the last hollywood attempt.

It's Guilermo Del Toro coming out with a Godzilla-esque movie this year?

Awesome, giant forest god thing in Hellboy 2 was a highlight.

LOL... I didn't even know he had a track on that soundtrack... let alone a video!

I specifically remember that in the promo at the beginning of the VHS copy I had:

Just reading this makes me think of middle school and how "limited" my musical tastes were back then:

  • 1 year later...

*bump*

So a trailer finally drops. I actually think this is one of the best trailers I've seen of recent years. Besides the film actually looking rather gorgeous, this sets the tone wonderfully and, in something of a suprisingly welcome move, it doesn't give the entire movie away (though I expect later trailers will). Anyway, enjoy:

I generally like all of the actors involved in this. And I wish them well.

Godzilla certainly looks better than in the Broderick version. But I'm still not excited and don't have the energy to care about this.

It's another one of those films that I'll watch but not pay for.

I wish I could like it, but this kinda looks like uninspired CGI landscapes to me. Kinda like that "Clash of the Titans" remake. It's really hard for me to look forward to stuff like this anymore.

Yeah you see all CGI the first time you watch the trailer. Gravity is even more (full) CGI but it looks much better
