i can't stand mtv. when i think about it i think aphex twin was less apealing to me with the whole windowlicker/come to daddy thing. am i crazy?

yeah, when come to daddy was getting lots of the attention, it seemed less umm, satisfying. but that was back in 97 or 98, so it was just wierd to see electronic music getting so much exposure. afx next to fat boy slim and chemical bros was pretty nasty, i t was just an all-around turnoff.

Quite, imagine all the lame people who've never heard of BOC and get switched on by seeing the promo (yeah, that's right, I said, PROMO!). That's good stuff. Elitism and snobbishness is the real sadness.

 

 

I taped 120 minutes on Monday morning and watched it last night. Was good to see it one a bigger screen but my video player whined all the way through which was annoying. They played Autechre afterwards too.

I seem to remember them playing AE, Squarepusher and Aphex Twin quite a lot on 120 Minutes. Well, regularly anyway. Sometimes it's not that bad. And they did a Cunningham video retrospective thing recently too which was pretty good
