If you haven’t read it, this guy’s book on the start of WWI is interesting as well, with some amusing bits thrown in, such as how the government of Serbia, a nation with barely 35% literacy, when confronted with the question whether to tax home alcohol production or school books opted for the latter.

You mean "The Sleepwalkers"? I started reading this not long ago ?

At a friend's house for a socially-distant cookout, got to crack open this baby.  It's so spectacular on a hot afternoon. I tried to share but my friends were not fans, which was surprising becau

I'm currently drinking a Coors Light

Yeah I'm familiar with kriek, especially because I love cherries.  My wife loves Kasteel Rouge, but I think it's a little too sweet for my taste.  Lindemann's does make a great kriek, I love their "Ou

I hate to admit it but a few Coors Light out of the freezer on a hot day isn't such a bad thing ?

Though once the thirst is quenched I need something with a bit more grit.

In China the regular beer is not only low quality, but low alcohol as well, around 2% or so.

Very good at the end of one of those damp 36 degrees Chinese summer days.

From a local brewery, Peach Drips Creamsicle IPA.  Hazy IPA with peach puree, lactose, and vanilla.  Pretty good, kinda strange to taste the hops and vanilla but I think it works well.

Apparently cream ales are strictly an American invention.  I had no idea.

Somewhere between an ale and a lager.  Can't taste the lime at all, but decent on a hot day.

A crispy boi with a nicely malty backbone. Light and crushable.

Flying Monkeys Invictus 2016 Imperial Stout, 18.5%, 0.475l

I guess this the strongest beer I've tasted that is still drinkable. It's pretty good but maybe a bit too wine-like.

Cunt Face Winkle Picker IPA

It's 21.5 percent and comes in a 130ml bottle, but hopefully it'll be strong enough to numb the pain when my gay grandad and his spooky mates tries to fuck me later tonight, at the fly fishing lodge

I'm sure I'll write a 5000 word essay on ratebeer about it (obviously I'll leave out the incest rape bit) I'll just focus on stuff like I'm writing about how Falkor is a dreamy beast in the Neverending Story

Put on the Falcor mask Grandad

Hahah!

Imperial stouts 4lyfe. I don't want to go have a piss every 30min.

TBH, nowadays I mostly like to drink dark rum and brandy.

Yes, I'm getting old.

Craft beer was fun when it was just “hey - you know they have different *kinds* of beer?”. Now it’s just ridiculous.
