oh god. no more star wars marathons. i can't live that crazy lifestyle anymore. by return of the jedi i'm hating everything.

I can't do the whole thing in one sitting, that's for sure. We're splitting it up into 3 different weekends, 2 movies per weekend. Most of my friends are all too old for stuff like that anymore too, including me. The last time I tried a marathon all in one go was with the Back to the Future movies and we were all tired, cranky and delirious by the end, making jokes that made little sense, and that's only 3 regular length movies. No way we're doing 6 movies in a row, even if it is Star Wars.

Went back to Mario Kart 8 with the DLC... damn Nintendo makes solid games.

I've been craving some Mario Kart lately. I think I'mma have to call up my buddy and demand he has me over to play it. Cuz, ya, Nintendo makes solid games. Actually, I'm doing a Star Wars marathon with him shortly in preparation for Episode VII. I guess I'll just have to work in my need for Mario Kart before or after the movies. Curse his new busy lifestyle. lol.

You can play online... I actually find the online (in a Nintendo game, gasp!) really solid, and surprised at how many people are still actively playing it.

I'm well aware you can play online and have done so at my buddies place with people from all over the world with surprisingly low latency, strong connection, and quick wait times due to abundance of players. My problem is I don't have a Wii U or any Nintendo console right now. So I have to go to my buddy, who does have a Wii U. If I wasn't saving my pennies right now, I'd buy one for myself today. But I have something far more important to save up for.

Just finished 'The Longest Journey'

Very good - some weak acting here and there and a couple of areas

like the Maerum

could have been fleshed out more convincingly, also the rendering is out of date but that's totally forgivable - they did a great job with what was available at the time I think, and some of the settings are quite beautifully done

But overall I loved it, some wicked concepts and lots of colourful interesting characters. Gonna play 'Dreamfall' next as they were bundled together on Steam

(it was recommended to me by someone on WATMM btw)

It's a point and click puzzle adventure, if you're interested

Wait until after E3 next year...as soon as any concrete info about the NX console drops, the Wii U will probably see a price cut to 150.00

That would be awesome! That's around the time where I'll be able to buy it anyways, so win/win.

not overly keen to dive back into twilight princess any time soon (not terrible by any means but also not my favourite)..

having said that.. choosing which version to play is always a bother (do i want better controls >> gamecube << or aspect ratio better than 4:3 >> wii <<).

buying the game for a 3rd time will be a nice compromise of the two lol.

About 20 hrs into Shin Megami Tensei IV. Realllllly enjoying it, quite challenging at times. Happy to play an old school style JRPG, lots of grinding, fun negotiating with demons (way harder to negotiate in this one compared to previous games?!).

Can't wait for Persona 5 next year, super stoked.

I didn't find negotiation to be very hard, at least compared to SMTIII. That game made it very hard to recruit demons.

I second your excitement for Persona 5. Kind of disappointed that it didn't come out this year like they originally said.

Yeah I'm disappointed too, but confident that's because the developing team is making sure it's an ace release!

I'm finding negotiation REALLY hard compared to past SMT games. Sometimes you have to answer 10+ questions or whatever to get a demon. Perhaps I'm missing a strategy for negotiating or something?

I kind of wish they'd make a follow up to the Digital Devil Saga games though...

Glad to see there's another SMT fan here =)

I'm not sure if there is a strategy, really. I don't recall having to answer a lot of questions. I gave up a lot of items and money, and that's about it. Got a lot through surrender as well.

I have the two DDS games but have never played the second one at all. I never got far in DDS1, so of course there was no point in starting the next game. One day....

I honestly don't know a lot of SMT fans. Most people I know who have played them either hate them or just think they're too hard. I personally think it's the best RPG series around.

The DDS ones are easier than other SMT games, but the story is really well written, and the music etc... I don't know, they're up there with my favorite games of all time.

Anything with the SMT tag on it, I buy (for example Devil Summoner series, DDS, Nocturne, etc).

I find it pretty funny that some of them have a disclaimer from Sony stating they don't represent the content lol. Like it's demonic or something? =/

The only SMT-related game that I don't have that was officially released here is Persona 1. Well, I don't have the PSP or Vita games because I don't own either of those handhelds, and I didn't buy the 3DS remakes of Devli Survivor 1 and 2 because I have the original DS versions. I can't get enough of these games, though.

The Sony disclaimer was necessary because they didn't want parents seeing these games and saying that Sony was advocating "demon worship" or something. I'm glad they don't do that anymore. The demons in these games aren't really even demons most of the time, just beings based on mythology.
