candace owens has a vendetta with society. she does not like how she is viewed. she says so in the beginning of this documentary in case you couldn't decipher the subtext. she's particularly incensed that nobody believed her cries that BLM was a fake org. and thus- she has made this documentary as a forensic analysis of how "fake" that story is (was?)

in the end, this documentary is really for candace owens. nobody made a documentary to tell her she was right- so she did. and she's super cute for being so petty

^^^ one of my favorite directors. very curious your thoughts besides ?‍⬛

nah sorry, not much to say.. just saw this one, the original Hachi-ko, Edo Porn and Onibaba..that i can recall. just glancing through his catalog..ah, and his approach to the Zatôichi tale and Postcard.

should definitely brush up on this director..Hadaka no shima, Hadaka no jûkyû-sai..his output was massive..

this was written by the coen bros, directed by sam raimi and has bruce campbell running on full ash williams gas. one problem: it's not that funny. it's like a bunch of cartoon skits running along a story about some bozo criminals set in a very colorful, clumsy and cluttered comic book universe.

I've been wanting to rewatch this for about 35 yrs. Loved it as a kid. All i can remember is the scene with lots of doors and the quote  "lady, you ain't seen nothing....... yet" which I have regularly used  as a phrase here and there for most of my life. (Which may or may not be from this film. I hope it is)

That guy with lightning bolts around his head - did he play one of the Harkonen bros in Lynch's Dune?

you'll never guess who the lobster man in this film is (it's not a spoiler coz you don't see him). this film is like an inside joke for b-grade actors that were in b-movies making fun of the kind of b-movies they consider themselves to be in. it also has a very unfinished "feel" to it because it's supposed to be "lost" and "not good".

personally, i feel this film is the high water mark of this kind of meta-b-grade filmmaking despite "one of the writers" admitting it too was a dumpster fire that was "beyond campy"

really disliked this- even thought it was worse than x. plays like a lifetime original (especially the part when she blows up on the projectionist) but now with more expensive lens' and extremely sloppy camera work. i also didn't think the entire story was going to take place at her home which, imo, was also disappointing.

that painfully awkward smile at the end out of ten

Thanks! Won’t watch it then. X was amazingly disappointing. The Twitter hype was in full effect.

this was terrible. the "fraternity house" is clearly someone's apartment (keg is in the basement). different rooms of the apartment represent different locations (sometimes in the town or fraternity house).

how is this shit? they had such a great premise and somehow couldn't make a single thing work. this is a compilation made to look like a VHS recording of random TV programs being shown on halloween 1999. the problem is that none of these programs are interesting. in fact, it feels like a personal home recording video found at good will with shitty public access skits mixed in.
