Many times I was advised from fellow artists that Convolution Reverb is a powerful tool to use in music, so i decided to give it a go and now collecting various IR's i can use. I can imagine that there are countless impulses out there, and obviously a lot of experimentation is involved to find the best suitable impulse(s) for each track. But I've been searching over the net and people seem to have preferences of they own, some like The Bricasti M7 IRs library which was available as a free download from acousticas, but not anymore :( Others like the L300 impulses from the same company, and many people are looking to simulate the reverbs that Steve Roach and Robert Rich use in their music, like TC 3000, Lexicon PCM-91/-70, Eventide 4000/3000, Sony R7, Roland's R-880 etc. Which are you favorite ones? [/vague answer] Yeah, a friend of mine already told me yesterday what to do :) I heard that the echospace dudes are planning to release some IR's sometime in the future. that would be just awesome!! i love echospace. that explains the wonderful velvet feel they have in their music. All A/D conversion courtesy of Apogee's stellar convertors and the sonic arsenal of Universal Audio. Recorded straight from the echospace studio in A nn Arbor, Michigan, USA. This collection will be released with 5 gig's of custom tailored effects and impulses compatible with all IR generators in Mac and Win format, due for release this winter in very small quantities. You can use convolution to emulate anything really. Guitar amps, microphones, old samplers, cardboard boxes, fatty moog filters (granted you don't want to do any sweeping). Shit, throw a barking dog in there! Some of the best sounds I've gotten from space designer come from forest field recordings, or thunder. Really complicated and cluttered and hard to comprehend. Once you get over that hump though there is crazy potential. Typical made-by-programmer-alone type product.
