I think he actually gives porn stars a pretty good name. Also, I was intrigued by his facial expression in the trailer, for whatever that's worth. Candiru Posted August 3, 2013 Share Posted August 3, 2013 I agree lumpy, It's been a while but I remember reading through that AMA, the one thing that struck me is that despite being dubbed as "sensitive" and "professional", that there seems to be this very strong sense of detachment from him. I don't remember the exact quote but somewhere in there he said something along the lines of "whoever I'm doing a scene with during those hours we're shooting they are the love of my life"... But even that just seemed like I guy who was just overly used to "going through the motions." The other answers just gave of this cold vibe of detachment and lonliness. Perhaps a little Bateman is exactly what it is, whatever it is I'm sure the guy has quite a few inner demons. Well, all pornstars have issues. They give up the possibility of real personal relationships and if they decide to leave the business they're met with derision pretty much anywhere they go. Unless you're James Deen or something. manmower Posted August 3, 2013 Share Posted August 3, 2013 It's called addiction, she's just completed 3 months of lockdown rehab, will continue intensive court-ordered therapy for at least the next 15 months, and besides, practically everyone involved in the production has gone on the record saying they would work with her again in a heartbeat and that it wasn't nearly as bad as that article made it seem. Guest Franklin Posted August 4, 2013 Share Posted August 4, 2013 i just watched the first 30 minutes of this movie and had to stop. the acting is terrible. the script is terrible. the set looked great though. the colour effect looked great also... kinda like the exact opposite of a malick film in that way (very dull). it actually seemed like lohan was doing a decentish job of the shit lines but I couldn't do it anymore. The characters and the story likewise. But somehow, it's all too orchestrated. Like the article in the topic starter is part of the concept. The leaked nudes from the movie. And the movie itself has obviously leaked as well. It's all part of the concept: the scam of Hollywood. So the question is: is this the Bret Easton Ellis behind the wheel?
