Memorex - Sequel To Skinemax Video

Joyrex

Recommended Posts

As promised, MEGAPLEX is here. I'm really proud of this and poured my heart and soul into it over the past year and a half. Lots tracks up WATMM's alley (lots of VHS Head!) and crazy ass visuals to boot. Hope you guys like it.

Fucking amazing.

Just finished watching this. Will the audio mix be available too?

Thanks! It's on Mixcloud now but I don't think has downloads available. Wanted to throw it on Percussion Lab but I think the site has more or less been left for dead as whole sections of it aren't working. I could always put it on Mediafire or a hosting site other than Soundcloud if anyone has a good one.

yep, downloads unavailable. Also, Mixcloud messes with the audio (data compression as well as dynamics compression).

I'd suggest something like Google Drive, but if a link gets hit too much they take it down. Might be worth a try.

If it comes to it, I'll just rip the audio from vimeo :D

So glad you're getting recognition for this stuff, it's always awesome

Sweet! I stumbled upon this because Jay Bauman from Red Letter Media posted it on Twitter. Great job!

Thanks for checking it out everyone! Yeah was happy to get that retweet from Jay Bauman, I figured he might be into it so I tweeted him and apparently I made a good call there. Time to get the ball rolling on getting the word out to blogs and such this week. Not sure if this has any potential to go viral since it's so long and weird, but I worked hard on it so it's worth a shot.

I added downloads for both audio mixes in the tracklist section, let me know if you run into any problems.

Thanks for the support everyone, I have been so pleased with the reception it's getting. It's hard to know if spending an obsessive amount of time on something is worth it until you release it into the world but it seems like this is something I should keep doing. This will be the last LONG form one for a while though, maybe ever. I want to start focusing on shorter but more frequent content so we can stay fresh, try new things, and avoid burn out. I'll continue making DJ mixes though with the new found free time.

I can't say too much but a pretty big name personally reached out and with any luck we may be collaborating on something down the road (not one of the musicians I used but it's pretty awesome).

You both truly deserve every bit of awesome reception you've been getting.

New trailer we made for Nmesh to promote the reissue of Welcome to Warp Zone, an AMAZING 4+ hour mix of video game music which I absolutely love. There will be another one out next week as well.

Check out Warp Zone here, I can't imagine WATMM not totally loving this

I started a new series entirely made up of BBC Earth footage called Natural Selection.

The first installment is called Savage Planet and lives up to its namesake with lots of predator vs. prey action.

There will be at least two more installments at some point with different themes in nature. Enjoy!

Just finished another installment of Natural Selection entitled "Mutant Planet".

This is without a doubt the scariest thing I've ever made. All of earth's most alien and horrible creatures in 7 minutes. I combed through dozens of hours of nature documentary footage to highlight the most terrifying animals on the planet and set it to the very creepy Under The Skin soundtrack.
