But I think it's like some long-running joke that the US mastering (or whatever you call it) had this flaw, and no-one ever brought it to their attention. They may have fixed it now but for years on the US release (can't speak for any other release) there was a gap of silence in the *middle* of the track. I'm pretty sure it was unintentional but could be wrong. It drove me up the walls, waiting for that silence to wreck the flow of the track.
