chenGOD
Kim Jong Un is a big basketball fan. VICE managed to worm (b-ball fans will know) their way back into the country. It's not quite Ping-pong diplomacy, but anything that helps humanize the North Koreans in the eyes of the outside world is a good move as far as I'm concerned. lumpenprol
but anything that helps humanize Kim Jong Un is a good move as far as I'm concerned. fix't that for you. If Rodman introduces the guy to weed maybe he'll chill out. I wonder to what degree he's a puppet for the military, thoughts?
Blir
Probably already a toker. Weed isn't illegal in NK.

If Rodman introduces the guy to weed maybe he'll chill out. I wonder to what degree he's a puppet for the military, thoughts? I disagree - comments on here (and though this is usually far from the average sample, when it comes to NK, it seems pretty accurate) lead me to believe that people genuinely don't think at all about the average North Korean beyond simplistic terms - "they're all brainwashed! they're starving!" He's having a great time. As to whether or not he's a puppet of the military, I would lean towards not. There have been some high-profile "resignations", including the man who was responsible for overseeing the transition of power from Kim Jeong-Il to Kim Jeong-Un. However, it's difficult to say with any certainty, as obviously none of us are privy to what goes on behind closed doors....
